At First & Main, our goal is to bring them directly to you.

We’re so intent on peak flavor that we built a custom Asian kitchen with woks to coax every morsel of char and heat and flavor out of our fresh spices and ingredients.

It really is the “New American” cuisine:
Bright, smart, and sourced from the rich experiences of immigrants who have enriched our country and our flavors.

Everything, from appetizers to desserts, is made to order — never store bought, never prepackaged. Our thoughtful menu offers an ample selection of choices for our vegetarian friends, as well.


THE SPICE TRAIL

The Age of Discovery was born with the discovery of a sea route around Africa, prompting a frenzy for spices like cinnamon, cassia, cardamom, ginger, pepper, and turmeric.

This momentous occasion in our history is represented by the Spice Trail and has inspired us on our own journey to prepare flavor-forward dishes. What will you discover?

How many of these spices and ingredients have you tried?

LEMONGRASS

Flavor profile: Bright, minty, and lemony.

Why we love it: The smell of lemongrass is amazing! It adds a tangy, lemony taste to curries and more.

GALANGAL

Flavor profile: Spicy and citrusy.

Why we love it: This root looks a bit like ginger, but it provides more of an aromatic, earthy flavor.

THAI BASIL

Flavor profile: Notes of anise mixed with basil.

Why we love it: This basil, unlike its Italian cousin, withstands the serious heat we use to create our dishes and adds a note of brightness.
